Gathered into His name Our gathering together allows God to work, move and minister through us.

In the Bible, the Greek word for “church” is “ekklesia,” which means a called-out assembly. Thus, we enjoy being called out into a gathering to read the Bible, pray, sing, and experience Christ together.

To facilitate this, we have different types of meetings in the homes and on the Lord’s Day at our meeting hall in Grand Rapids.

The Lord’s Day

Sunday Mornings

We begin with a time in the Lord’s supper. “And He took a loaf and gave thanks, and ” And He took a loaf and gave thanks, and He broke [it] and gave [it] to them, saying, This is My body which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

We also take time to share with one another what we have enjoyed from God’s Word in an open session of mutual teaching and encouragement. 1 Corinthians 14:26 says, “Whenever you come together, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation…”

Children

Our weekly children’s lessons (Pre-K through Junior High) include an age-appropriate curriculum consisting of Bible stories, character lessons, and fun children’s songs.

We seek to help our little ones develop into young men and women who love Jesus Christ, know the Bible, and seek God’s kingdom first.

A Place for Every Believer

Neighborhood Home Groups

In Acts 2:46-47 the Christian believers met “day by day and house to house.” Like the early Christians, we also endeavor to have small group meetings in the homes.

We endeavor for the home meetings to be characterized by a vital spiritual pursuit, an intimate loving atmosphere, and a committed goal of spiritual fruit-bearing. We warmly welcome you to join a group.

Youth Fellowship

On Saturday evenings, junior high and high school students pursue Christ by getting into the basic truths of the Bible and singing songs of praise to the Lord.

Throughout the year we provide opportunities for young believers to be built up and inspired in larger conferences with other churches in the DFW Metroplex area and the South Central U.S. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere rich with God’s Word, healthy companionships, and fun activities.

College Fellowship

Throughout the week, college students enjoy Christ in His Word together. In this time, students will eat dinner, sing to the Lord, and fellowship over the Bible. Visit utdchristians.org to learn more.

There are Bible studies on various campuses. If you are a college student in the DFW Metroplex area, chances are that we have brothers and sisters in school with you!
